Stop Locations

If a chassis is gated out from one of the Start/Stop locations and through normal migration, the chassis is returned to one of the stop only locations, the daily per-diem on the chassis will stop.
Chassis Returns

If a chassis is returned to any location other than the above-listed locations, the daily per-diem charge will continue to accrue. It is the responsibility of the drayman to retrieve the chassis and return it to one of the above locations.

Usage for Other Steamship Lines:

These chassis may be use by draymen for moving other steamship line’s equipment. No agreements have been reached on Start/Stop locations for other line’s equipment. If a DCLI chassis is used to move other line’s equipment, the drayman must still abide by the above Start/Stop locations when returning the bare chassis.
Start/Stop Locations

The above locations are start and stop locations for Direct ChassisLink chassis. Upon gate out from any of these locations, the daily per-diem on the chassis will begin. Upon return to one of these locations, the daily per-diem will stop. The drayman will then be invoiced for the total number of calendar days from gate out to gate in.

Notice To All Draymen
Effective Tuesday, November 1st any movement of Mediterranean Shipping Company’s containers on DCLI chassis in the Pacific Southwest Region will be subject to the standard daily fee. DCLI will invoice draymen directly based on gate-out to gate-in from DCLI start/stop locations.

All draymen must register on WWW.DCLI.COM, submit valid insurance documentation and accept our interchange agreement to utilize the DCLI chassis. Instructions, insurance requirements and a sample insurance form can be found under the Registration tab, How To Register. Our interchange agreement and a listing of all DCLI start/stop locations can also be found on our website WWW.DCLI.COM.

Important Notice Regarding DVER:
Federal Law requires motor carriers to report the results of roadside inspections to the IEP. A copy of the DVER received must be tendered to the IEP in order to inform it of any defects that were cited so that the IEP may record the DVER and any roadside repairs made, or to inform the IEP of repairs that must be done and signed off on so that the completed DVER may be returned to the enforcement agency.

DVER’s may be returned to any DCLI Maintenance manager, supervisor or facility. If it cannot be returned to the facility, a copy can be sent scanned and emailed to:

This must be done within 24 hours of receiving the DVER.

49 CFR 369.9 (d)(1) The driver of any motor vehicle, including a motor vehicle transporting intermodal equipment, who receives an inspection report shall deliver a copy to both the motor carrier operating the vehicle and the intermodal equipment provider upon his/her arrival at the next terminal or facility. If the driver is not scheduled to arrive at a terminal or facility of the motor carrier operating the vehicle or at a facility of the intermodal equipment provider within 24 hours, the driver shall immediately mail, fax, or otherwise transmit the report to the motor carrier and intermodal equipment provider.
